Fractional Generalist Role

Many business I have come across are either too small to justify multiple roles (perhaps <$500k in sales, and less than five employees) or have more general needs that would be better served by a generalist approach. These businesses can now be served by the new Fractional Generalist Program.

Ideal candidates for the Fractional Generalist Program:

  • have cashflow that is too limited to hire the multiple fractional executive (FE) roles you need;
  • are well developed in most disciplines, but are looking for some fresh ideas from an outside perspective;
  • are working too many hours, and simply need part-time help to offload some of the management functions; or
  • have a staff of just a few employees, and need the flexibility to direct the efforts of their FE to whatever yields the biggest “bang for the buck”.

If any of the above describe your business, you could see potentially see substantial gains from early adoption of a Fractional Executive™.

In a generalist role, your FE becomes a creative problem solver and project leader at your company. The FE works to find opportunities for improvement in all disciplines, and then conducts a process where these opportunities are objectively analyzed, selected, and implemented.

Where other Fractional Executive roles allow the FE to work semi-autonomously, the generalist role works more closely with the you, the business owner. The idea is to act as both mentor and consultant, to help you build a solid foundation on which to grow your business.
